About Tony
Tony Spero’s fascination with magic began at age 8 when a classmate introduced him to the art. Guided by mentorship and a lifelong passion for wonder, Tony has transformed that childhood spark into a remarkable career spanning over three decades.
Under the tutelage of English magician Derek W. Hilton, Tony learned not only the technical craft of illusion, but also the importance of entertainment and audience connection. After earning his certificate in 1977, Tony continued to collaborate with Hilton for a decade before Hilton’s return to England.
A proud member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians since 1979, Tony was named “Teen Magician of the Year” by Norwalk’s IBM Ring #97 in 1980 and has served in multiple leadership roles. He later joined the Society of American Magicians (SAM) and the Society of Young Magicians (SYM), performing, teaching, and mentoring aspiring magicians throughout Connecticut.
